Ruchi Ghanashyam is an experienced Indian diplomat with a distinguished career in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Born on June 22, 1960, she has held important roles, including serving as Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, where she handled India’s relations with Western countries. From 2016 to 2021, she was India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, working to strengthen the relationship between India and the UK in areas like trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

Ruchi is known for being a balanced diplomat, and she and her husband have a supportive and cooperative relationship both at work and at home. They have managed their diplomatic careers together, balancing international jobs with family life. Ruchi values her family a lot and is deeply committed to cultural and educational causes. Outside of work, she focuses on personal growth, community involvement, and building connections between different cultures.
